Central Park, NYC in the 1930's as captured by H.H. Clark | | | | 1935- 2 Ladies at South East Corner of The Park Across from The Plaza Hotel | The following collection of photographs were taken about 80 years ago by my Grandfather, H.H. Clark.
His ability to capture the atmospheric perspecitve and eye for composition, resulted in some truly beautiful views of Manhattan at it's very Best.
Recently, I tried to capture a present day view of many of his photos in The Park. Ironically, I couldn't replicate one due to the growth of trees and buildings!
Please enjoy this part of his legacy, and the fact that these views are simply "no longer available".
THROUGH GRANDPA'S LENS is the current exhibition of some of the finest of this group. These piece can now be viewed and purchased at Gayle O'neill Antique Jewelry, in Southbury, Ct. 203 264 0600 AND at @The Corner Restaurant on 3 West St., Litchfield, Ct.
